We have almost reached the middle of 2025, and between April to December- there are more than 100 Airbus A380 scheduling done for routes globally. The list of the 10 longest airport pairs with nonstop or one-stop involved three of the 10 superjumbo carriers: Emirates, Qantas and Qatar Airways.
The necessarily first Syndey-London Heathrow-Dubai-Auckland-a top nonstop operation with the end of the scale of April-temporarily calling it the world’s new shortest A380 flight. All Nippon, Asian, British Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Qantas, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines-continuing to fly the double-decker. It expects to operate a round-trip charter service from Glasgow & Manchester to New York JFK.
The 10 longest A380 flights: April to december
Let’s summarize and notice Sydney-Dallas/Fort Worth. The Qantas confirmed the 2024 return of the 485-seat quadjet to the route between two one-world hubs. However, more than a five-year absenceis the world’s fourth-longest A380 flight but second for nonstop services.
Qantas-previously-A380 to Dallas between Sept 2014 and April 2020. This meanwhile returns in August- QF7- leaving New South Wales at 12:10 and arriving at 12:20 local time on the same day. Returning, QF8 will depart from the Lone Star State at 22:40 and return to Australia at 06:55+2.
Qatar Airways' only entry in the longest A380 routes list
It’s the ninth-longest airport pair in Doha-Sydney. Qatar Airways used the type to New South Wales capital between 2016 & 2020; again in 2022. This is one of the two Australian cities to see in 2025-alongside Perth. Meanwhile, it appears in Western Australia between April & June; however, it has a daily service to Sydney with A380 exclusively deployed.
However, partner Virgin Australia will lease 777-300ERs from Qatar Airways to operate four routes from Australia to Doha. This setup starts in June, with a daily Sydney flight. Given the big bilateral restrictions that limit its market access, it is a means for Qatar Airways to grow its Australian footprint.
Etihad's new A380 route ranks 15th longest
That won’t be surprising anymore; the 11th-14th entries also involve Emirates; A380s have 77 and 79 daily take-offs from Dubai. It's Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Washington Dulles. Meanwhile, the 15th entry is the newest: Etihad between Abu Dhabi & Toronto.
It's over the first time on June 24th that Etihad will begin flying the 486-seat A380 to Toronto. This will be replaced by the 371-seat A350-1000, flying to New York JKF instead. Significantly, Etihad's superjumbos mean Canada has two A380 operators again, with Emirates flying from Dubai to Toronto (which ranks 16th longest globally). Not only will it be Toronto's first time with two A380 users, but two aircraft will be on the ground simultaneously.
